Alix's Yellow Dress

I spotted this in the latest post on www.thecherryblossomgirl.com
She made this dress for a wedding that she will be attending.

It's so pretty and the color works really well for her.

More Vintage Fashion

I love these suits. I love 1950's fashions. I'm trying to figure out how to wear clothes from the 50's without being dated or obvious. I guess I'll just have to give it a try.
I wonder if I could get a pattern for this type of suit...
Things I love about 50's couture...
The wonderful full+circle skirts.
I also like the hour glass lines, it makes the waist look smaller than it is.

Glamour...

I wonder how many yards of material it took to make that skirt? Isn't this a cool pic?

Vintage Vogue 2401

Drool. I hesitated to purchase yet another pattern after my little weekend spree. However, I just loved this pattern. It's another vintage vogue pattern for a wrap dress, I can't wait to be able to make one.

Simplicity 4179

O.K. I will stop now.
Ebay, ebay, ebay.
I really, really liked this one too.
It's simple and so, so pretty.

I can't wait to get these patterns and make some nice clothes :)

Retro ’52 Butterick dress pattern 4790

Yes! I'm on a mad pattern buying spree! I loved this dress pattern. I've admired the retro butterick patterns for a while now. I'm a total sucker for cute 1950's fashions. I just love them.

This dress has only 3 pattern pieces and is supposed to be very simple to construct. Yay. :) I'll make lots in that case. :D

Lace Necklace

I just spotted this on the front page of etsy: Isn't it gorgeous? The photographs are excellent, if you go to her etsy shop she has an array of gorgeous prints for sale: www.alicebgardens.etsy.com
The necklace was made from a vintage doily, so pretty.

Simplicity 4487

I've been scoping out ebay for some good blouse patterns. This one seemed to jump out at me.
So I bought it. :):):) Cheap thrills. :D I'll have to sew like crazy after all of this pattern and notions shopping. I have been watching some other patterns on Ebay too. I'll have to decide how badly I want them.

Check out "E", that's so victorian/edwardian made modern. I think I'd wear one just for the fun of it. I'm always on the hunt for classic patterns. One of my concepts is: Could the past 2 and future 2 generations wear this on the street and not look strange? These have a leetle bit of trendiness, however I think I can tweak out some very nice shirts.

Vintage Green Dress

I spotted this pretty dress over on www.advintageous.etsy.com and thought I'd post it.

Trims a la Polly Danger

The other night I convoed back and forth with the purveyor of cuteness on the subject of a trade. These lovelies are the goodies that she is trading for goods from my shop. I'm so excited to get my mitts on these, they'll make such cool projects.
These goods are from: www.pollydanger.etsy.com She has those fabulous buttons too.

Even more Vintage Buttons...

I spotted these today and 'had to have them'. They're so cute.

Both of these sets of pretties are from www.elizabethwrenvintage.etsy.com
